Guigou is a legendary French manufacturer of top-of-the-line jersey fabrics since 1826, and still in operation today (retailing for at least $80/meter). This chocolate brown knit is embellished with midnight grey, sparkly sequins. It is medium-weight and has a slight stretch to it. It does not lose sequins! This fabric was likely designed in collaboration with, or produced for, British designer Jasper Conran OBE, who was designing womenswear in the 80s.
